SOA-C03 validates the ability to deploy, manage, operate, and monitor workloads on AWS at the associate level. The exam assesses skills across five domains: monitoring, logging, analysis, remediation, and performance optimization; reliability and business continuity; deployment, provisioning, and automation; security and compliance; and networking and content delivery. Candidates are tested on operational tasks such as configuring Amazon CloudWatch alarms and metric filters, designing EC2 Auto Scaling and Multi-AZ topologies, automating with AWS Systems Manager and AWS CloudFormation, applying IAM, AWS KMS, and AWS Config controls, and troubleshooting Amazon VPC connectivity, with v1.1 adding coverage of Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus, Kiro, AWS DevOps Agent, and AWS Security Agent.
