The Professional Cloud Architect certification assesses a candidate's ability to design, develop, and manage cloud solution architecture on Google Cloud, including infrastructure design, network topologies, storage and compute configuration, security and compliance, migration planning, and operational excellence. The exam emphasizes applying the Google Cloud Well-Architected Framework pillars (operational excellence, security, reliability, performance optimization, cost optimization, and sustainability) and validates competence in integrating Vertex AI, Gemini, and AI Hypercomputer workloads into enterprise architectures. Candidates are tested through scenario-based questions and case studies that evaluate solution design trade-offs, workload disposition decisions, and the implementation of secure, scalable, and cost-optimized Google Cloud environments.
